White Porcelain Figurine of Sword-holing Attendants

Made in the Sui Dynasty (581-618), this figurine, 72 cm high, was excavated from Zhang Sheng's tomb in Anyang County, Henan Province, in 1959. Each attendant holds a sword with both hands. The sheath is black. The attendants have big eyes and bushy black brows, and look calm and composed.
