A Faux-Bois "Poem" Water Pot

Small globular form over a concave base, glazed over all with even but naturalistic patterned faux-bois grains ranging from deep browns to light umbers, four ovular lobed reserve panels along outer walls in contrasting faux-marble finishes, inscribed each with five characters of running script calligraphy and with small red seals, which correspond to the seals of the Qianlong era imperial kiln master Tang Ying (1682-1756), renowned for his skills in all of the arts and in particular for his painted porcelains.
