A Pair of Aubergine and Green Enamelled Yellow-Ground

Guangxu period, Qing Dynasty
Diameter: 10.6cm

Both finely potted, small, broad-mouthed plates of shallow form, on a slight ring foot, edge left in biscuit, walls curving to straight lips, inner center with two precisely incised dragons, one overglazed in purple, the other in green, chasing a flaming pearl, inner walls with floral sprigs, outer walls in same motif with black outline rather than undercarved designs.
