An Aubergine Glazed Censer

Spread and unglazed ring foot supports low, wide belly that contracts gently to a short and outwardly-bowed neck, flanked by two scrolling handles, glazed entirely in a deep shade of aubergine purple-blue glaze, accompanied by two covers, an octagonal tin openwork grid, the other of wood and reticulated with floral scrolls, capped by a carved lingzhi handle, accompanied also by a wooden stand resting on ruyi cloud heads and with reticulated classic lotus scroll work.
