Bronze Mirror Carved with Four

Warring States. Bronze Mirror has a string-patterned knob on a square base, and feather-like pattern as ground motif. Outside each corner of the square is a pair of petals that divide the back into four zones. Four "Shan" characters are arranged symmetrically in the zones and inclined to left. Each bottom stroke of "Shan" is cast almost in parallel with the relevant sides of the square. And another petal placed above each "Shan" at right. All the petals are connected by broad string -patterned bands, and the outer petal of each pair has a long leave pattern goes toward left. It is a pity that it was once broken, otherwise the decorations are over-elaborate and magnificent.
