Handled Kettle of 50% Gold with Engraved Patterns

Qing Dynasty
Height: 30.8cm
Width: 27cm

The handled kettle, made of 50% gold, has a straight mouth and neck. The body is in the shape of a bottle gourd, with an elephant head-shaped spout, a dragon head-shaped handle and a tall loop leg. The lid is adorned with double-layer lotus petal motifs. The whole body is engraved with interlocked lotus branch patterns.

The kettle is elegant in design and lively in structure, carved with elaborate motifs. The gold material and the delicate patterns contrast nicely with each other. This kettle serves as both a utensil and an ornament.
