A Bronze Ding (Food Vessel)


Late Western Zhou Dynasty-Early Spring & Autumn Period

The vessel has two upright handles, an everted mouth-rim, slightly contracted mouth, drooping belly, a round and almost flat bottom on three feet shaped like beast's legs. The handles are adorned with ring pattern at the outer sides. The top half of the body is decorated with a band of stylized dragon motif. It is in good condition.
