Lionsgate has released a new trailer of the Egyptian mythology epic, "Gods of Egypt", for Chinese audiences after finally setting a debut date in China.

The latest movie clip gives its Chinese audiences a new glimpse at the colorfully over-the-top ancient fantasy world come to life.

Inspired by the classic mythology of Egypt, this spectacular action-adventure features an unexpected mortal hero Bek, played by Brendan Thwaites, undertaking a thrilling journey to save the world and rescue his true love.

In order to succeed, he must enlist the help of the powerful god "Horus" in an unlikely alliance against the merciless god of darkness "Set".

"Game of Thrones" Nikolaj Coster-Waldau will play the role as god "Horus", while "How to Train Your Dragon 2" Gerard Butler as villain "Set".

Directed by Alex Proyas, the film also stars Chadwick Boseman, Elodie Yung, Courtney Eaton and Geoffrey Rush.

Gods of Egypt is now airing in North America and will hit Chinese theaters on Mar. 11.
